Description

the goggles are not a band-pass: they are the opposite of a band pass (a band-stop or a band-rejection filter) since they prevent only select wavelengths of light from entering

and 500mA is a strange assumption to make: if watts=volts times amps, then a 5mw laser that uses 3 volts is just over a mA, and even figuring in loss due to the laser circuitry 500mA is huge. http://science.howstuffworks.com/question501.htm

Might also want to mention that including a kill switch in series with the power supply is a good idea, and so is a visible indicator light in parallel with the lasers.

Most people use some kind of modeling clay, putty, or similar to be able to adjust the laser in the mount but then let it dry and become permanent - this is much safer than duct tape (which dries out and loosens up - yikes!)
